Forth Bridge Windspeeds Now On FifeWeather

With very grateful thanks to the kind folk at the Forth Road Bridge, FifeWeather.co.uk now provides the Forth Road Bridge wind speed graph for the past 24 hours, alongside our own station wind speed graphs. This will make it easier to compare the wind speeds on the Forth, along with the inland wind speeds at our Lochgelly weather station.
New UK Weather Map Added

Similar to the Scottish Weather Map, we've just added a new UK Weather Map, providing an overview of conditions from right around the UK.
New League Tables Added
- Details
A new "League Tables" page has been added to the site, which provides a quick overview of previous monthly Min/Max/Average temperatures and rainfall, and how that compares to this month/year.
New HD WeatherCam Online
- Details
A new widescreen, high definition weathercam has gone live on the site today, bringing much clearer pictures and improved time-lapse video quality to the site.
Rain Gauge Temporary Failure

In the early hours of this morning, the weather station's rain gauge went offline. The faulty gauge has now been swapped out, as of 8:55am. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
System Status Page Added

A new Weather Station System Status page has been added to the site. This provides up-to-the-minute information on the state of the weather station sensors and data feeds, which keep the site's data current.
Mystery Rain Out Of Blue Sky

I thought I had better explain why, at this time of year when we're getting a bit of snow, the weather station occasionally reports rain, when the weathercam is showing clear blue sky!
Intermittent temp/humidity/wind sensor issue
- Details
Update 08:42 - All sensors are now back online and working normally, thankfully with minimal data loss. Investigation into the cause of the loss of connectivity will continue over the coming days. Until the cause has been found, temporary glitches may still occur.
We're currently experiencing intermittent connectivity issues with our wind and temperature/humidity sensors. The cause is not yet known and we're working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.
