Weather Warnings Notification Overhauled

The component of the website which lists and tweets the Met Office's weather warnings, has been completely re-written, to improve notifications.
Slow Response From Home Page Fixed

A very unpleasant, intermittent 10-second delay in loading the site's home page has now been resolved.
WeatherCam Refresh Fixed
- Details
Due to some changes made to the site a short while ago, our WeatherCam page was no longer auto-refreshing the WeatherCam image, as it should have been, every 15 seconds.
Site Performance Fixed

We're pleased to report that last night, the infrastructure that runs FifeWeather.co.uk was successfully moved across to new hardware.
Poor Site Performance

Updated 27/10 @19:35: Our provider has now identified the issue on our server and we are working towards a fix. This may involve some downtime late Tuesday evening/early Wednesday morning.
We are currently investigating an issue with poor website performance since early Saturday morning.
UV Sensor Replaced

We're pleased to report that our UV Index sensor fault has now been resolved.
New Photo Of The Week

Thanks to Fife photographer Simon Swales, we've added a new "Fife Photo Of The Week" section to the site, where we will be featuring a stunning photo of Fife landscape, new each week.
UV Sensor Fault Advisory

The weather station's UV sensor is currently offline due to a hardware fault.
BBC Landward Features FifeWeather
- Details
FifeWeather.co.uk and the WeatherEvents.net mobile weather lab were featured in Episode 11 of the 2013 series of BBC Landward.
Time lapse video player now HTML5
- Details
We've migrated our time-lapse video player on the WeatherCam page, to YouTube's new HTML5 player. This should hopefully provide better compatibility for those viewing the site from mobile devices/tablet computers, as the previous player was flash-based.
