After a number of rain gauge failures on the existing weather station, the decision was taken to replace the core FifeWeather.co.uk weather station with a more robust and reliable unit.

The new Davis Instruments station is now online, and most of the site's data is now being sourced from it (with the exception of UVI and Wind data). 

Wind data will switch over to the new station's anemometer/vane, once the old anemometer is replaced. I'm hoping to complete this in around 1-2 weeks, at which point there will be a brief (around 3 hours) interruption to the collection of wind data.
