I'm very excited to annouce that data from the new FifeWeather.co.uk air quality monitor is now online on the dedicated air quality page.
The air quality monitor is based on a Sensirion SPS30 particulate matter sensor and is driven by a Raspberry Pi. All this is housed in a waterproof enclosure and mounted in a suitable location out of the sun, but in an area of good ambient air flow. Having spent quite some time testing the unit, it certainly seems very sensitive and responsive. It certainly senses if anybody nearby is having a fly cigarette, or a barbeque! :)
Following below are a couple of images taken whilst I was constructing/installing the monitor.
