Unfortunately the SkyCam at St. Andrews continues to experience intermittent connectivity issues, resulting in periods of downtime.
The good news is however that I believe I have now identified the root cause, after the previous failed attempt to correct the issue. Replacement parts have been ordered and once these arrive, they will need to be tested and fitted to the SkyCam.
Due to restricted physical access to the camera, with its roof-top location, it may be some time before I’m able to get the required access to fit the parts, but I will get to it as soon as is practically possible.
In the meantime, intermittent downtime (and therefore missing images in the history and time lapse videos) is unavoidable. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
